About the Pilgrimage
Travel 406 Ltd and Behold Your Mother (Jn 19:27) are excited to offer a special pilgrimage to Poland. On this pilgrimage, we follow in the footsteps of three great Polish Saints: St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. John Paul II, and St. Maria Faustina Kolwaska, the Apostle of Divine Mercy. We entrust fellow pilgrims and the journeys to the maternal protection of Our Lady of Czestochowa (also known as Black Madonna of Czestochowa – a venerated icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary housed at the Jasna Gora Monastery in Czestochowa. The icon is believed to have been painted by St. Luke, the Evangelist).
Preparation for the pilgrimage
There is an option for pilgrims to prepare for their pilgrimage with a virtual retreat based on the popular book by Fr. Michael Gaitely, MIC – 33 Days to Merciful Love – Preparation for Consecration to Divine Mercy. The retreat will be led by Catholic Priests supplemented with videos by Fr. Michael Gaitely, MIC.
Those interested will have the opportunity to consecrate themselves to Divine Mercy at the Divine Mercy Shrine in Krakow on the 26th of May 2022, the day of the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord. This is where we will have our final Holy Mass before returning to our home destinations.
DAILY ITINERARY
Day 1, Saturday, 21 May 2022, Warsaw
Arrival, Warsaw airport. Meeting with our English speaking tour guide.
Transfer to the hotel. Luggage storage. Check-in the rooms is possible after 14:00
Sightseeing of the Old City rebuilt from the ruins in which it was left at the end of World War II.
The Holy Mass
Day 2, Sunday, 22 May 2022 – Warsaw – Niepokalanow – Plock– Warsaw
Drive to Niepokalanow, home of St Maximilian Kolbe. The name Niepokalanow means “Town of the Immaculate Virgin”.
Departure from Niepokalanow to Plock. Visit at the Divine Mercy Sanctuary in Plock.

Return to Warsaw
Day 3, Monday, 23 May 2022, Warsaw – Swinice Warckie – Czestochowa
Drive to Swinice Warckie to visit the Shrine of the Birth and Baptism of St. Faustina.
Drive to Czestochowa.
The Holy Mass in the Pauline Monastery.
Free time for individual prayer
Overnight in Czestochowa.
Day 4, Tuesday, 24 May 2022 – Czestochowa – Auschwitz
Visit to Jasna Gora Monastery, Poland’s biggest pilgrimage place known as the Black Madonna Shrine, worshipped and frequently visited by Pope John Paul II during his several pilgrimages to his home country.
Drive to the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau
Day 5, Wednesday, 25 May 2022, Kraków – Wieliczka – Krakow
Guided walking tour of Krakow including the Old Town with its Market Square (the largest medieval square in Europe) where you can listen to the famous signal that is played every hour from the tower of St. Mary’ Church (visit to its altar – one of the largest Gothic altars in Europe).
Drive to Wieliczka Salt Mine. This is an extraordinary visit to Europe’s oldest Salt Mines in Wieliczka – exploring many of the underground chambers, chapels and the stunning St Kinga Chapel entirely cut and carved in salt.

Day 6, Thursday, 26 May 2022, Krakow – Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – Wadowice – Lagiewniki – Krakow
Drive to the Bernardine Monastery in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. An area of 43 chapels and shrines scattered on only 4 km distance honouring the Way of the Cross, the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and the Seven Sorrows of Mary.
Visit to Wadowice, the birthplace of Karol Wojtyla, our former Holy Father and His home.
Visit to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy of God.

Visit to “Have No Fear!“ John Paul II Centre within convenient walking distance of the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy. Established by current Archbishop of Kraków (and close advisor to JPII) Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz to commemorate the legacy of every Pole’s favourite Pope.

Day 7, Friday, 27 May 2022 – Return Home
